Pre-Columbian Teotihuacan figure from Mexico, ca. 450-650 C.E. Carved in serpentine stone wearing an elaborate headdress with incised X marks highlighted by cinnabar. A nice example with stand. Stained and etched root markings on the serpentine stone attesting to its age.
