Fine Olmec Jade Incised Plaque

Fine Olmec Jade Incised Plaque

A fine Green Jade Olmec plaque from Mexico, ca. 900-600 BCE. Large plaque with incised decoration of a profile image. Perforated hole below, most likely would of been used for attachments. Added red pigment (not cinnabar) from Stoetzer's Inc. to highlight the incised decoration. The piece has been authenticated by CIRAM labs and the incised decoration has been authenticated by Stoetzer's Inc. A fantastic and scarce example!
