Pre-Columbian Sultepec Stone mask from Guerrero, Mexico, ca. 300-100 B.C.E., Funerary anthropomorphic mask carved from a tecali stone with pierced temples. Residue of original organic adhesive on the eyes where inlay eyes would of been fitted. A fine example! 8″

Ex. Chicago, Illinois estate, purchased in 1965 from G. M. Echaniz, paid off in installments through 1966 to Mr. Echaniz’s widow Juileta de Echaniz. Copies of the original letters about the installments and payment included dated Dec. 7th 1966.

The piece will also include an authentication report from CIRAM Labs in France.
